outcome: Judge Dismissed the case against our Client

Our Client was alleged to have caused harassment to the neighbour. The neighbour filed an action against our Client for Intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress under section 3(1)(a)(b) of the Protection from Harassment Act, Cap 256A. The neighbour claimed that our Client was causing disturbances by “knocking hard on the walls” and “stamping on the floor”. We advised our Client to take all necessary steps to protect himself. This included getting the relevant evidence. We spent a lot of time to carefully analyse the facts. Then, we carefully presented our Client’s evidence and facts to the Court. The Judge agreed with our Client and the claim by the neighbour against our Client was dismissed.
