In the Singapore Police Force, Roy held many key positions including:

  • In the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), he handled & investigated many high-profile and complex cases;
  • Appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police (United Nations Peacekeeping Force); and
  • Prime Ministers’ Office (seconded to undertake security advisory roles & maritime security planning).

Roy is a highly experienced and seasoned investigator in the Singapore Police Force.

Combined with Roy’s legal training as a Lawyer, this uniquely places him in a strong position to advise clients in Criminal Law matters and Litigation & Dispute cases.

Roy graduated with Bachelor of Laws from the University of London. Roy also holds the Master of Laws from the University of London.

He is admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of the Middle Temple (England and Wales)

Roy is also admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Roy is a certified security professional by the American Security Industry Standard (ASIS) as

A Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

 He is also a Certified Practitioner in Personal Data Protection (Singapore – PDPC and International Association of Privacy Professionals).

 Roy advises Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) and Companies on Risk Management and Corporate Compliance. He helps clients manage risks to an acceptable level to meet business requirements. Roy is able to develop fit-for-purpose solutions to mitigate risks and meet legal and regulatory compliance.

Corruption, Embezzlement. Counterfeit cases

Roy’s experience as a meticulous and seasoned Criminal Investigator in the Singapore Police Force enables him to cut through the facts and circumstances.

Roy has advised clients in many corruption, cheating, embezzlement and counterfeit cases to stop/prevent further loss and damage.

He has successfully advised clients in bringing action against parties who break the Law, which resulted in successful prosecutions and convictions.

Harassment cases under Protection from Harassment Act

Roy has handled harassment cases including bullying, stalking and intimidation. Roy has successfully advised clients to protect the victims’ interests and from further harassment.

Cybersecurity/ Data Privacy

Roy provides Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation solutions and Legal guidance to comply with regulatory requirements including Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and EU General Data Protection Regulation.

He advises on all Cybersecurity matters including Legal support to companies and individuals on Personal Data Protection and how to adopt a risk-based approach. He keeps an eye on developing a cost effective and fit-for-purpose solution for clients.
